To use TeamViewer to connect to a Ubuntu system remotely, you first need to install the TeamViewer client on the computer or device you want to use to connect to your Ubuntu system. To keep TeamViewer up to date, it's easiest to install an "AUR helper" such as yay. To launch TeamViewer, use your desktop environment's application launcher or simply type teamviewer in terminal. $ cd teamviewer $ sudo makepkg -si TeamViewer and all its additional dependencies will now be installed. Install TeamViewer with the makepkg command. Open up terminal and enter: $ sudo apt install gdebi-core Therefore, let's start by the installation of the gdebi-core package. We will be using the gdebi command to install TeamViewer on Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic Beaver Linux. TeamViewer is an external software not to be found in any of the Ubuntu standard repositories. $ sudo dpkg -i teamviewer_b Install For Ubuntu, Debian, Mint, and Kali We will also use sudo for root privileges. We will use dpkg command in order to install the downloaded package named teamviewer_b. To access this app, click on the "Show Applications" icon at the bottom left corner of your Ubuntu OS screen. However, I successfully installed Teamviewer using teamviewer_b. I was unable to install teamviewer_b using any suggested methods. ![]()
